Your Sacred Mother Wellspring.

ree

When we are not fully connected to our own sacred Mother wellspring, we will seek to connect to other people, things, and situations to find grounding/home.

We seek home in other people instead of being centered in ourselves.

We can fill our world with money, jobs, lovers, friends, children, hobbies and things, but without the inner source of love, this will never bring us what we are truly seeking, namely ourselves.

When we do not see ourselves as spiritual beings first and foremost, it creates an inner emptiness that can lead to external dependency.

Only we can give ourselves the frequency of love that can fill us up from within.

We were meant to share love with each other and not seek it from each other.

In my opinion, this is the basis for much of the suffering, stress, and codependency that characterizes our culture.

In our Western culture, codependency has become so integrated that it has become the norm.

What is codependency?

Codependency is when we choose to stay in a situation, job, relationship, or habit that is not good for us.

It can be defined as a dysfunctional relationship dynamic where one person takes on the role of the "giver", sacrificing their own needs and well-being for the sake of the other, the "taker".

The bond in question does not have to be romantic; it can arise just as easily between parents and children, friends and family members, and in workplaces.

In our Western culture, we live predominantly from our heads and are not naturally connected to our womb/hara and our root chakra.

When we live in an exclusively mentalized world, we forget that we are part of nature.

We are not grounded in our bodies and therefore cannot feel our true needs and desires.

We lose the connection to the ground and thus the connection to our inner Taproot.

What is a Taproot?

A taproot is defined as a primary root that grows vertically downward into the soil.

The purpose of a taproot is to ensure the plant's stability and anchorage in the ground, while it grows towards the sky.

It helps to withstand wind and weather and prevents the plant from falling over or being damaged.

The taproot also plays an important role in the absorption of water and nutrients from the soil.

The taproot acts as a support and anchor to the ground and helps keep the plant upright.

When we are not connected to our own Taproot, our own grounding to the sacred Mother Source, we risk losing ourselves in the world around us.

When was the last time you meditated on your root chakra?

I invite you to take a moment now to breathe and bring your awareness down to your root chakra/perineum.

What do you feel here? Does it feel tight, cold, sore? Just be with what is and be curious about yourself and what you hold in your energy.

This is where you tap into your authentic root- voice.

Anima Woman.

In her book " Late Bloomer, " Clarissa Pinkola Estès describes a possible consequence of losing ourselves in our search for conformity.

She describes an archetype she calls the " Anima Woman " who morphs herself into what everyone else wants her to be.

Anima Woman is not gender specific, this is an archetype that is available to both men and women, however it is most frequently expressed in women, to varying degrees.

Anima Woman is rootless and can't really feel herself unless she's with other people.

Anima Woman has not learned that she is her own sacred source.

When we have tapped into our own Sacred Mother Wellspring, we find inner peace, rest and regeneration of body, mind, soul and spirit again.

Our nervous system begins to recover and regenerate.

We can only give to others what we have given to ourselves.

In a conscious practice of personally identifying and connecting with our inner wellspring, we tap into the wild and wise Sacred Feminine power that is within each of us, offering ourselves much-needed spiritual nourishment.

When we are connected to our own sacred Mother wellspring, we begin to prioritize and nourish ourselves so that we can flourish as we were meant to.

How much water is in your sacred well spring?

Many of us see self-care and nurturing ourselves as something we do when and if there is time, but nurturing ourselves and filling our own cup first is the way we nourish our inner Mother wellspring and build our inner roots and foundation.

This foundation must be watered and nurtured every day, even if it is only for 5-10 minutes, it is alpha and omega for our well-being and the growth and flourishing of our souls.

We can only give to others what we have given to ourselves first!

We women, especially, have been programmed to think this is selfish, but if we constantly run on reserves, our sacred wellspring will dwindle and it will take a very long time to get back to its own foundation and sacred Mother wellspring again.

When we are burnt out, there is not much left to give.

I know this from my own experience after several burnouts!

Here life often begins to call us back to the body, to nature, to the Mother.

Mother consciousness begins to awaken within us .

In our culture we have lived in oblivion of the Mother's light.

We have lived in a distorted version of what it means to be a mother/woman and a father/man.

The distorted patriarchy has led us to believe that to be a good mother/woman, we must sacrifice ourselves for others.

We must fill others' cups before our own, if there is time.

This feminine model, born out of a lack, that has characterized both men and women, has been tested thoroughly and is now proving to be unsustainable.

ree

When Mother consciousness begins to awaken within us, we become our own source of love and wisdom.

We begin to see a deeper/higher truth, our spiritual intelligence is heightened.

We tap into the inner mother source and use our intuition to guide us in our motherhood and in life in general.

When we live in the light of the Mother, we will begin to see the truth on all levels, the mental, the vital, the physical. Our discernment is strengthened and we will reject everything that does not feel true. The body never lies.

The Mother's light/consciousness is available to all of us when we begin to turn inward and take time to be in the silence so we can connect with her from within.

Nature and by the water are the best places to connect with our inner sacred Mother wellspring, but also in our daily spiritual practice that brings us inner balance and restores our nervous system.

No matter what you use to reach deep into the Holy Mother wellspring within, you can't help, but notice the feeling you get.

You feel connected. You feel right. You feel like you can breathe; you can be yourself.

Time seems to stand still. You feel light... unburdened. Tapped in.

You start to remember that this is how you were always meant to be.

And then you do more of that thing, of those things, and your spirit tree responds in a magical way: it starts to grow branches again.

Just a few at first, hesitant, but then more, and more – it reaches up and collects sunlight, sending nutrients down to your root system so they can grow too.

It becomes a positive feedback loop; as more roots reach the sacred Mother wellspring and nourish you from within and below.

Reflection questions:

Do you feel guilty when you put yourself before your husband/partner, children or friends?

Do you doubt whether you really deserve what you dream of for yourself?

How can you prioritize yourself and your innate creativity more in your everyday life?

Where do you or do you not honor the sacred feminine in your life/body?

Beautiful soul, You are hereby invited to take the step you feel called to take now.

You are encouraged to take time to rest and regain balance in your life, to do something new to refresh your soul and spirit.

Trust yourself and your inner guidance system, you deserve to live life fully rooted in yourself!
